Trend Micro rewards top A / NZ partners for 2021

Cybersecurity solutions provider Trend Micro celebrated its top performing partners in Australia and New Zealand for 2021.

Announced at the vendor’s annual CLOUDSEC conference, the nine awards recognize seven organizations and two individuals who have contributed to success in 2021 through collaboration and a customer-centric mindset, Trend Micro said.

On the corporate side, Spark New Zealand took home the Hybrid Cloud Security Partner of the Year award, while Sydney’s Platinum Technology won the Most Performing MSP award.

Australian Data # 3 took home the award in the security category while Dicker Data was named the winner of the distribution.

On an individual level, Peter Lyons, Director of Business Development at Insight, was named Trend Micro’s Top Seller, while NTT’s Director of Cyber ​​Security, Dirk Hodgson, won the Technical category.

This year, Trend Micro added the new categories of Cloud Native Partner of the Year, Growth Partner of the Year and TRENDsCampus Partner of the Year.

The top prize was won by Brisbane-based Itoc, while Insight was the winner of the Growth of the Night. TRENDsCampus winner BlueAPACHE completed the awards.

“These have been added to reflect the important role of the partner ecosystem in driving rapid digitization with security at the center,” Trend Micro added.

This year, Trend Micro also strengthened its local presence by launching a Point of Presence (PoP) in Australia using a Sydney data center.

The company’s first Cloud One will be hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and operated around the clock by Trend Micro.

“Local organizations have faced new cyber threats such as breach-based ransomware, managing hybrid workforces and staying on top of regulatory and compliance issues,” said Ashley Watkins, vice president of business at Trend Micro A / NZ.
