Society for Domestic Peace receives donation of $ 3,445 from Epicor Software

The Archway Society for Domestic Peace in Vernon benefited from a healthy donation from employees of a local software company.

Epicor Software (formerly Progressive Solutions) staff came together to contribute $ 3,445 to support Archways programs for families and children experiencing domestic violence.

“Certainly, with the increase and severity of domestic violence, this money will be put to good use to support the children and families in our community,” said Sherry Demetrick, Co-Executive Director of Archway.

Epicor has long supported Archway. Since the 1990s, employees have made the nonprofit the center of fundraising efforts at their annual Christmas event. Although the event could not take place this year due to COVID-19, employees still made a large donation.

“It’s just such a great group,” Danelle Sloboda, program assistant at Epicor, said of Archway. “It’s just nice to know that you have someone there when you’re sort of in your darkest times.”
