Kamaljit Jackson served as vice president of programs and operations for the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. for more than three years.
Leading a statewide team, Jackson fosters a culture of empowerment and engagement of individuals at all levels to support organizational development and change, according to his colleagues.
As a member of the leadership team, Jackson leads WWBIC’s training, loans, loan operations and HR functions.
“Kamaljit’s wealth of experience in coaching, program management and process improvement builds an ecosystem of community to holistically support the client,” said Wendy Baumann, visionary president and director of WWBIC. “Kamaljit is our driving force for change.”
For example, Jackson is leading efforts to collaboratively expand access to capital and other opportunities for diverse businesses. Launched in 2021, Black Business Boost is a system designed to increase opportunities for Black entrepreneurs and business owners in underserved neighborhoods in Milwaukee.
The program supports entrepreneurs with credit recovery, acceleration, technical assistance, micro-capital, and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
