Shoot It! Show it! Watch it! DIVA's Video Slam is taking a fresh new approach to Eugene's only all-ages showcase for film and video artists.
Video Slam participation requires videomakers to submit their work in advance on the first day of each month. A screening of submitted videos will follow on the third Wednesday at 7:00 PM. The lead-time between submission and screening will facilitate the Center's organizing a full Video Slam program for audience viewing.
Students, amateurs, and professionals are all encouraged to submit their finished videos, or work in progress, to the slam for screening.
Videos are to be submitted on DVD. Make sure to label the disc with your name, contact information, title and length of the video. Short works are encouraged but longer ones are accepted and scheduled as time permits.
Audiences will select the best video of the evening, which will then be included in a year-end "Best Of" reel of Video Slam winners. The winners are showcased in a year-end event and the "Best Of The Best" audience choice is made and an award made.
